Didn’t go on the beach as the thought of all that salt permeated sand screwing up my bike and getting in my shoes and clothes was more than I could deal with. Also, the temperature was on the cool side.

Jen, good idea, but I believe I was one step ahead of you. I had already picked up some almonds(high in iron as I’m borderline anemic) and raisins.

Figs, apricots are best because you can find them with no added sugar. Raw nuts are also very transportable. You might want to carry some pb&j sandwiches with you. Just some suggestions.
